How to Change iCloud Password on iPhone 

  1. First of all, open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Under settings, scroll down to and select “Passwords & Accounts.”
  3. Under Accounts, select iCloud on iPhone. 
  4. Now, click “Password & Security.”
  5. Under “Password & Security,” select “Change Password” at the top. Now, you’ll need to make sure your password fulfill the parameters such as it should be at least eight characters long including numbers, upper and lower case letters.

  6. Now, you can enter your new password twice to confirm entered password is correct.
  7. Finally, hit “Change.”

How to Change iCloud Mail Password

1. Visit Apple ID page in your web browser and log in to your account with your Apple ID email address and current password.

Note: Make sure that your new password must have eight or more characters, upper and lower case letters, and at least one number.

How to Reset iCloud Mail Password 

You should start with these instructions. 

1. Visit appleid.apple.com or iCloud on your web browser in order to recover a forgotten iCloud Mail password.

2. Now, select “Forgot Apple ID or Password?” below the log-in fields. Now, you need to enter your Apple ID or iCloud email address in the text box and select Continue. 


Note: Further instructions vary as you choose the security options.

Note: Your Apple ID is used for signing into iCloud, including iCloud Mail. Make sure that resetting your iCloud Mail password is a matter of resetting your Apple ID password.

3. Now, if you reach the page with the heading “Select what information you want to reset,” follow these steps to reset your password. 

4. Now, you need to choose “I need to reset my password,” then select Continue. 

5. Now, you will see the option that says “Select how you want to reset your password” page, here choose from the following options:

  Get an Email:

  1. Choose the “Get an Email” option if you have access to the email address you used to set up the account. 
  2. Now, choose ”Get an email,” select Continue. Then, go to the respective email account and open the email from Apple titled “How to reset your Apple ID password,” and open the link included in the email.
  3. Doing so will bring on the “Reset Password page.” Here, enter a new Apple ID password twice to confirm that the entered password is correct. Once you’re done,  hit “Reset Password.”

•  Answer Security Questions 

  1. Now, select this option if you need to provide answers to the security questions created when you set up the account. 
  2. If you choose “Answer security questions,” select Continue. Now, you’ll be asked to confirm your birth date, then you’ll be asked to answer the two security questions set up with your account. Finally, hit Continue. 
  3. Doing so will bring on the “Reset Password page.” Here, enter a new Apple ID password twice to confirm that the entered password is correct. Once you’re done,  hit “Reset Password.”

Note: if you set up your Apple ID with two-step verification, then you will see the next screen:

6. Here, you need to enter the “Recovery Key” when you first set up two-step verification, then select Continue.


7. You will receive a text message from Apple on your phone. Enter that code into the “Enter verification code” screen on the Apple website, then select Continue.

8. Finally, you can set up a new password on the “Reset Password” page. Select “Reset Password” to reset your Apple ID password.

How to Recover Apple ID Recovery Key 

If you forgot or lost your Recovery key, create a new one to replace the old one. You will need this key to log in to an untrusted device with your Apple ID when two-step authentication is enabled.

1. Visit Manage your Apple ID page on the Apple website and log in, if asked. Once you’re in, go ahead and follow the next step.


2. Navigate to the “Security” section, and select Edit. Now, you can create the New key by selecting the “Create New Key.”

Note: If you don’t see this option, the Recovery key option isn’t available. You should instead rely on two-factor authentication. 

3. Select “Continue” on the pop-up message about your old Recovery Key deactivating upon the creation of a new one. 

4. Now, press the “Print Key” button to save the Recovery key on your device. Finally, select “Activate,” and enter the key, and press “Confirm” to very that you saved it.


How to Change Apple ID Password on iPhone

First of all, open the Settings of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Under Settings, click on our name and this will take you to the next screen. 

1. On the following screen, at the top of the screen; click on the “Password & Security.”

2. Now, click “Change Password,” and here you’ll need to enter your current password to verify it’s you only. 

3. Now, you can enter a desired new password and confirm the new password. Once you entered the password, click on “Change” or “Change Password,” to save the changes.

4. Log out of all other devices with your apple id, and sign in with your new Apple ID password to access Apple features and services.

Here’s how to change iCloud password on mac:

1. First of all, click on the Apple logo in the top-left corner of the screen. Doing so will open the drop-down menu. 

2. Click on the “System Preferences,” at the top of the Apple menu. Doing so opens the System Preferences Windows. 

3. Now, click “iCloud” in the System Preferences window. The iCloud window will open.   

4. Click “Account Details,” and you’ll see this option on the left side of the Windows. Now, you need to choose the “Security” option at the top of the Windows. 

5. Now, you need to click on “Change Password.” It’s a grey button near the top of the Windows. When you click on it, it will prompt a pop-up window to appear.

7. Once you’re done, hit the “Change Password” blue button at the bottom of the Windows. Doing so change your Apple ID password.


How to Change Apple ID Password on Web 

1.Visit https://appleid.apple.com/ on your web browser and sign into your Apple account. If you’re not logged in, use your username and password to sign in. Once you’re in, you can go ahead.

2. Navigate to the Security tab and click on it. Under the Security tab; click on Change Password.

3. Now, you need to enter your current password to verify it’s you only. 

4. Now, you can enter a desired new password and confirm the new password. Once you entered the password, click on “Change” or “Change Password,” to save the changes.


5. Log out of all other devices with your Apple id, and sign in with your new Apple ID password to access Apple features and services.

How to Reset Apple ID Password via Find My app

If you want to reset your Apple id password, then follow the below instructions. Here’s how to reset Apple ID password via the Find My app.

1.First of all, open the “Find My” app on your device and if it’s not there, then you need to download it. Once you download it, open the “Find My” app on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or iPod Touch.

2. On the sign-in screen erase the Apple ID field if it isn’t empty. Now, if you don’t see a sign on the screen, choose “Sign Out,” then clear the Apple ID field.

3. Now, click “Forgot Apple ID” or “Password link.” You will need to enter the passcode of your device (Usually use to open your lock screen), and then enter your new password twice to verify it.

You can also reset your Apple ID password on Mac as well via iTunes. Here’s how:

1. Open iTunes on your Mac and click on the “Account” menu. You can find the Account option at the top at the 6th number. 

2. Click “Sign in.” Doing so will reveal the pop-up windows. On the pop-up Windows, you need to click on “Forgot Apple ID or Password? (it’s a small link just below the password field)


3. In the next pop-up Windows, enter your Apple ID. 


4. See another pop-up window that will ask you to enter the password you normally use for your computer user account. This is the password you use to log on to the computer.

5. Now, you can enter your new password, make sure to enter it twice to confirm it's correct, and then click Continue. 

6. It will ask you to enter your personal phone number if you’ve enabled –two-factor authentication. 

Now, you need to choose from the options appearing below.

  1. Use a trusted phone number or 
  2. Use another device. 


7. Now, enter the phone number that you use and click Continue to go ahead. Now, you’ll be prompted to check your trusted device. 

8. On one of your device, a Reset Password pop-window appears, and then click or tap Allow.

9. Now, you need to enter the device’s passcode. Then you need to enter your new Apple ID password. Enter it a second time for verification and tap Next to change your password.
